3 One-Act Plays

So far this year we have produced an evening of three One-Act plays - a variety of different authors and styles.

Quelques Fleurs

by Liz Lochhead

The story of a marriage and family, as seen by two halves of a married couple. Verena's version of events is told over the period of a year ending on Xmas Eve whilst Dereck's version is portrayed during a train journey (in reverse) on that same Xmas Eve.

The Train

by Carl Slotboom (Translated by Dr Lovis I Leviticus)

The action takes place in two train compartments, one a modern train in 1995, the other a cattle wagon in 1943. The Train was written at the request of the 5th of May Committee of West & Oost Graftdijk in The Netherlands.

Last Tango in Little Grimley

by David Tristram

There are only four members left, but even so the cast sometimes outnumber the audience. They haven't made a profit in years, owe their landlord three years rent and have become the laughing stock of the village. There's no doubt about it, Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society is in trouble.
Luckily, their Chairman has a cunning plan...

Educating Rita

by Willy Russell

was produced in October 2002

Pantomime - The Tailor of Auchterness
