We've now finished our 2004 Pantomime, “Babes in The Wood”, written by former Florians member Trevor Nicol.
Production dates were from Monday 13th to Saturday 18th December 2004, including a matinee on Saturday, giving a total of seven performances.
For the Official Opening of our new extension, we celebrated the new improved Florians Theatre on Saturday 14th August 2004, and from Monday 16th - Wednesday 18th August 2004.
The Grand Re-opening was held on the Saturday night, and the assembled multitudes were entertained by a piece called “Work in Progress”, a series of linked sketches demonstrating the work of the Florians, specially co-written for the Club by Alan McDiarmid and Bill Sylvester.
The remaining performances consisted of “Work in Progress”, plus the first Act of “On Monday Next”, a farce by Philip King, set on the stage of The Drossmouth Repertory Company.

Bold Girls is a stirring play about the lives of three women, Marie, Nora and Cassie, in war-torn Belfast. Although their men have been killed or imprisoned for their political activities, everyday life must go on. But the appearance of a disturbing young girl, and Cassie's cruel revelations suddenly threaten Marie's carefully structured widowhood.
Rona Munro won the Susan Smith Blackburn Award and the Evening Standard's Most Promising Playwright Award in 1991 for Bold Girls.
