In December, we put on our annual pantomime. This year, it was “Snow White”, written by our own Trevor Nicol.
Production dates were Friday 11th to Saturday 19th December, except Sunday 13th.
See “The Inverness Courier” review, which will open in a new tab or window. Close the new tab or window to return here. Our last but one production was “Hedda Gabler”, by Henrik Ibsen.
“Hedda Gabler” was first published in 1890. With a cast of 3 men and 4 women, the Florians dramatise the play’s themes of conspiracy, marriage, rebellion, power and morality. Hedda Gabler returns, dissatisfied, from a long honeymoon. Bored by her aspiring academic husband, she foresees a life of tedious convention. Aided and abetted by her predatory confidante, Judge Brack, she begins to manipulate the fates of those around her to devastating effect.
The play was directed by John Claudius, and ran from 9th to 11th September 2009 at the Florians Theatre.
