PRODUCTIONS

Well done to everyone involved in making the “The Tailor of Auchterness” a success.

The Vagina Monologues

This is celebratory and humorous production, which will be performed in February as part of a wider international campaign to stop violence against women and girls. A local charity will receive the profit. As a story-telling event, a light touch is needed on rehearsals (4 or 5 needed) with the monologues read or referred to in the production. A cast of 3 to 10 women is required (we may reach out to a few notable non-members to read!) Please get involved in the production - on stage or back stage. Dates to note are:

Monday 20.1.03 Reading at 7.30pm in the theatre

Monday 27.1.03 Casting at 7.30pm in the theatre

Thursday 20.2.03 Members night to preview and support

Friday 21.2.03 Dress rehearsal (audience invited)

Saturday 22.2.03 Performance

Junior Production

A junior production is intended for April 2003. Alyn Ross will be in touch with junior members shortly with further information.

There is also support for our theatre to host productions by other groups.

Lottery success!

The Scottish Arts Council has approved our application for funding and has awarded a grant of £62,000. Our theatre will be extended to improve FoH facilities (new entrance, WCs, disability access and a servery area) along with a new dressing room and other general refurbishments. More news on timescales and related activities will follow in future newsletters.
