The Vagina Monologues

Well done to everyone involved in this production - to the cast for their fabulous delivery of the monologues, to Carron for directing and the sponsorship work and to our FoH male angels Alyn, Jimmy, Bill, Brian and Johnathan. The Courier reported the event as "a financial, artistic and political success". The club can now donate £1,520 plus gift vouchers to Inverness Women's Aid and £150 to the Native American Women's charity. We may do this next year too.

Junior Production

Junior rehearsals will resume after the Easter school holidays on Wednesday nights 6.30pm to 7.30pm. The first night back is Wednesday 23rd April 2003. There will be a show for parents before the summer holidays start - date to be advised.

Theatre Hire

The theatre is being hired to Eden Court theatre / Highland Council for the examination of higher drama students in March and April.

In early July the theatre will be hired to Theatre FX for 5 days.

These hires bring the club financial benefits, especially helpful during a year with fewer club productions. The hires will also bring new people into contact with the theatre. Hopefully this will help widen our future audience and club membership.

Theatre improvements

Thanks to everyone who made it to the recent open meeting to discuss the detailed specification for the theatre improvements. At the meeting Alan Holling presented the plans and club members made good suggestions. Alan will proceed with the appointment of a project manager and tendering arrangements. We then need to confirm:

No future productions are planned until we are clearer on timescales.
