A message from the director, Caroline Nicol There are some TV shows that hold a special place in the hearts of the nation - one of those being Dad’s Army which the Florians staged a few years ago and the other being The Vicar of Dibley. When I heard a stage play had been written for Dibley encompassing some of the iconic moments from the series I contacted a company in Wales who had done it recently and they were really helpful in giving me the contact details for the author who sent me a perusal copy. It was hilarious. We were originally set to perform our usual 4 night run but due to demand for tickets we put on an extra night and all performances sold out!! All the royalties go to Comic Relief which is nice too. The script writer, Ian Gower, has written a sequel "The Vicar of Dibley at Christmas" so watch this space... |
